Using the Clarke Historical Library

The Clarke Library can be used by any individual interested in consulting material within the library. However, because the library is a research facility rather than a general library a number of special rules and procedures are enforced. If you are considering visiting the library in person we encourage you to look at the following sections, so that you may use your time in the library to your best advantage.

We also encourage visitors who will be traveling any distance to contact the library in advance to be sure that the material you are interested in consulting will be readily available and to be sure the library will be open when you arrive. Please contact us by email at clarke@cmich.edu or by telephone at either our general telephone number, 989.774.3352 or our reference number 989.774.3864.
