I cannot fit him into the Robert Gibson family; was he son of James? This man is too old to be the William, son of Robert, who married Elizabeth Miller, daughter of Tip.
The is the one who drowned "under peculiar circumstances," & Rose Ann is the one who was "sent away." He was a brother of Robert.
