Groundbreaking for the IET building occurred in the Spring of 1987. When the Department of Industrial Education moved into the new IET building in 1989, it had the distinction of moving from the oldest industrial arts building in the state to the newest one. The 1/10 of a mile long structure contains thirty labs supporting reserach on a wide variety of subjects.
