Bio: Stevens enlisted in Battery K, Michigan Artillery on Dec. 15, 1863 at Kalamazoo (MI), at age 18 and was mustered on Dec. 15, 1863. He joined the battery in Nashville (TN) on Feb. 24, 1864 and was mustered out at Detroit (MI) on July 22, 1865.
