Horr, Joseph L. Correspondence, 188-1892, to Horr in Dubuque (Iowa) form two former comrades in arms and a widow of a third in Michigan, concerning a reunion of the company and erection of a statue for Gen. Sherman. Bio: Horr served as a Major in the US. 13th Infantry, not a Michigan unit.
Newton Family. Family Correspondence, 1812-1924, documents life during the Civil War in Kentucky. Also letter from Dr. G. Ambrose, Jan. 19, 1863, describing hardships. He served in the 85th Indiana Infantry.
Riverside, William A. Discharge Certificate, 1865. Bio: Riverside served as a Corporal in Company C, 12th Indiana Cavalry during the Civil War.
